The ARDECO team has extensive experience in all types of electrical installations in a wide variety of properties.
All work is carried out to *BS7671 standards, with building control notifications as required by Part P of the building regulations.
We can support NEW BUILD property projects at all stages:
- Design and consultation with builders/clients
- Electrical Certification
We work on all types of buildings, from starter homes, small single new dwellings including barn conversions and large detached houses to new developments.
*BS7671 is the British Standard for Electrical Installation and incorporates the IEE wiring regulations.
Every fuse board unit in the UK should be guarded by a Residual-Current Device or Residual-Current Circuit Breaker to prevent serious harm in your home.
ARDECO electricians are Part P approved, to update your old fuse boards efficiently and safely.
In the event of an emergency, your property must have the correct lighting to illuminate the exit path, both in residential buildings or office units.
ARDECO offers full installation, maintenance, and testing services for commercial and industrial clients.
We offer a complete examination of electrical appliances and equipment, to ensure they are safe to use, with printed traceable documentation.
The best way to guarantee appliances are safe is to have a PAT test carried out on them. This is a good procedure for landlords to ensure that they are meeting their legal obligations to maintain high standards of electrical safety in their rented property.
To establish the safety and suitability of your electrical appliances, we will carry out a visual inspection of the appliance. For Class I equipment, we will also inject test signals into the cable and appliance to ensure their integrity.
After testing you will receive a report that details the following:
- Test results for each appliance
- A list of any failed items with an explanation of the failure
- A visible pass or fail label on each appliance, detailing the inspection date, next test due and the inspector’s signature
- A certificate indicating that your portable appliances have been tested
All electrical installations deteriorate with age and should be inspected and tested regularly.
We check the condition of the electrics against the UK standard, for the safety of electrical installations, BS 7671 – Requirements for Electrical Installations (IET Wiring Regulations).
Once completed, you will be issued with an Electrical Condition Report (ECR).
A periodic inspection will:
- Reveal if your electrical circuits or equipment are overloaded
- Find potential electric shock risks and fire hazards
- Identify defective electrical work
- Highlight lack of earthing or bonding
Tests are also carried out on wiring and fixed electrical equipment to check that they are safe. A schedule of circuits is also provided.
